There are two grades of rubber mulch on the market, and they are not the same. We sell chunk/nugget material — consistent, clean-looking pieces — not the cheap shredded grind you see at the low end.
Most of the price difference in rubber mulch comes down to grade. Chunk/nugget is made of uniform, solid pieces. Shredded is stringy grind — cheaper to produce and it shows.
Chunk/nugget looks better once it is spread, stays in place better, and reads as a finished surface instead of a budget fill. For playgrounds, schools, churches and parks, it is the grade serious buyers specify.
We do not sell the cheap shredded grind. If you want a cleaner, more consistent finished look that holds up, chunk/nugget is the material — and it is what we deliver by the truckload.
