Public schools, private schools, parks, nonprofit day care centers, other nonprofits, and non-state governmental organizations are eligible.
There is no match requirement; grants are awarded competitively.
A recent cycle made roughly $600,000 available for playground surfacing and about $400,000 for non-playground projects.
Mat, tile, or pour-in-place surface material requests can be eligible for up to $75,000 per recipient.
Products must use at least 40% Missouri-generated scrap tire content, and material must come from an approved vendor or one that certifies the percentage.
